Season II-Opener: Southeastern Winter Classic

Sunday November 16th, 2008 marked the opening of Season II of FMA. The Wolves Drum and Bugle Corps competed against 12 other World Class Corps at the Southeastern Winter Classic, hosted by The Georgia Rebels.

The Corp Scored a 52.795 and finished in 3rd place overall!!!

This is a wonderful way to start off the season and I am very proud of the kids for performing the way they did today.

As they did so many times last season, both the percussion section and color guard won their caption for the night. The percussion scored an amazing score of a 6.900 and the guard scored a 6.685
The Wolves also finished in third in Music Performance(4.650)

The Wolves currently rank 58th out of the 169 World Class Corps that competed on Opening day. This is a great start to the season.
Both the percussion and guard are ranked 2nd overall in World Class!!

If things continue at this rate then this season may show just how much hard work can pay off. And believe me, these kids have worked hard this off-season. They are determined to be one of the final 12, if not one of the top 3 sorps this season.
